Estate Planning

“Everybody is going to be dead one day, just give them time.”
- Neil Gaiman (English author and graphic novelist)

While death may not be the most fun topic to contemplate, we will all experience it someday.  And whether you take the time to create and maintain an estate plan only really impacts the people you leave behind.  Estate planning is your opportunity to give your loved ones clarity on what you would want to happen when you no longer can say what you want, and the peace of mind that your loved ones have the legal documents that empower them to implement your plan.

At R&R Legal Advisors, we help you think through your different options so you can decide how you want your assets to be distributed (who gets your money), short- and long-term guardians of your minor children (who you want to take care of your kids when you can't), and who gets to decide how your body is treated and money and assets are handled when you can't communicate due to incapacitation or death.

Our process starts with an in-depth Estate Planning Consultation ("EPC") where we discuss your desires, concerns, and goals for your estate plan.  Prior to this meeting, you will have filled out a worksheet, and we will incorporate that information into the EPC so you can truly understand your options.  Once you know how you want to proceed, the rest of the process can take as few as two more meetings and as little as eight weeks for you to have the peace of mind that your affairs are in order should something happen to you.

If estate planning has been on your mind, you are ready to understand your options, or you already know what your plan is but want to make sure you didn't forget anything, contact us to see how we can help you gain clarity and peace of mind about your estate plan.
