
Carissa joined R&R Legal as a Paralegal in April of 2024. She was born in the Caribbean Island of Trinidad and Tobago and has over four years of experience as an attorney in Trinidad and Tobago with a background in corporate and banking law. She is currently pursuing her L.L.M. at Seton Hall Law School and plans to continue practicing as an attorney with R&R Legal after graduation and passing the American bar.
Beyond her legal background, Carissa enjoys dancing to good music and delicious food. She also serves as an executive member and Communications Officer of Soroptimist International Anaparima, a club associated to Soroptimists International of Gt. Britain & Ireland, which is a global organization that inspires action to transform the lives of women and girls through education, empowerment and enabling opportunities. Carissa is results driven and believes in “working smarter not harder.”
Carissa graduated from the University of the West Indies with a BA in History, then pursued an LLB from the University of London, an LLM from the University of Law, and is now completing an LLM in American Law from Seton Hall Law School.
